As the world witnesses one of the most tumultuous times in modern history, leaders are convening to address critical global conflicts. President Joe Biden of the United States, Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany, Labour leader Keir Starmer of the UK, and President Emmanuel Macron of France recently met to discuss vital matters, including the Gaza ceasefire, the war in Ukraine, and the pressing need for humanitarian aid in war-torn regions. The undertones of this meeting, however, point toward something much greater — something divine. From a Messianic Jewish perspective, the significance of these discussions is deeply intertwined with the sovereign agenda of Elohim (אֱלֹהִים), the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and El Elyon (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן), the Most High God.

The Ceasefire in Gaza: Unveiling Elohim’s Plan

In the aftermath of escalated violence in Gaza, calls for a ceasefire have been met with global urgency. The release of hostages and the immediate, unconditional access to humanitarian aid are at the forefront of international discourse. President Biden and his counterparts have emphasized the need for peace and diplomacy, aligning with Psalm 34:14, which urges us to “Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”

From a biblical perspective, the conflict over Gaza is not merely a geopolitical issue, but also a spiritual one. Elohim’s hand is at work, orchestrating events that will lead to the fulfillment of prophecies regarding the restoration of Israel and the Kingdom of Heaven. As it is written in Zechariah 12:3, “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded.” This passage highlights the centrality of Jerusalem and its surrounding regions in the divine plan.

The leaders’ discussions on the ceasefire, while critical, cannot bring lasting peace apart from the ultimate rule of the Scepter of Judah (שֵׁבֶט יְהוּדָה). Genesis 49:10 declares, “The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come, and the obedience of the nations shall be his.” This prophetic word points to Yeshua HaMashiach (יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ), the Messiah, whose return will establish peace on the earth, particularly in the Holy Land.

The Hostages and Humanitarian Aid: The Heart of El Elyon

The global call for the unconditional release of all hostages and the opening of humanitarian corridors resonates with the biblical mandate to protect the oppressed and provide for the needy. Isaiah 58:6–7 speaks to the heart of El Elyon for justice and mercy: “Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?… Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house?”

Leaders like Biden, Scholz, Starmer, and Macron are positioned on the world stage as instruments, knowingly or unknowingly, within the grand scheme of Elohim’s will. While they negotiate for humanitarian aid and the release of captives, it is Yeshua HaMashiach who came to “proclaim liberty to the captives” (Isaiah 61:1). These earthly efforts are but a shadow of the eternal liberation found in Him.

The War in Ukraine: A Prophetic Lens

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which has drawn global attention since Russia’s invasion in 2022, continues to be a point of major concern. The war has destabilized Europe and led to significant loss of life, economic instability, and regional insecurity. As the leaders of the West discuss their next steps in supporting Ukraine, it is crucial to see how these events correlate with the greater unfolding of Elohim’s end-time agenda.

Ezekiel 38–39, often referred to as the prophecy concerning Gog and Magog, speaks of a great war involving nations from the “far north” of Israel. Many have interpreted this as a reference to Russia, though the prophecy’s ultimate fulfillment remains to be seen. Regardless, these global conflicts remind us of Matthew 24:6–7, where Yeshua warns, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars… For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” These signs are but the beginning of birth pains, leading toward the establishment of Yeshua’s Kingdom.

In their talks, President Biden and Chancellor Scholz reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, while Starmer and Macron echoed similar sentiments, all striving for peace and the restoration of sovereignty. Yet, true peace will only come when the Prince of Peace, Sar Shalom (שַׂר שָׁלוֹם), reigns from His throne in the New Jerusalem.

The Scepter of Judah and the Heavenly Reign

At the core of these discussions lies the unseen reality: the Scepter of Judah, representing the governing power of Yeshua HaMashiach, holds total control over the earth. As Psalm 2:8–9 declares, “Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession. You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

This authority, rooted in the divine promise to David, is now vested in Yeshua, the Lion of Judah. His Kingdom is both a present reality in the hearts of believers and a future manifestation when He will return to establish His reign on earth. The negotiations of world leaders, their ceasefires, and their efforts for peace are but temporary measures within the grand scope of the Messianic Kingdom.

Conclusion: Aligning with Elohim’s Agenda

As global leaders gather to address crises like the conflict in Gaza and Ukraine, their efforts point to the deeper spiritual reality of Elohim’s sovereign plan. The prophecies concerning the Scepter of Judah and the ultimate authority of El Elyon will soon come to pass, and the nations will witness the establishment of the New Jerusalem. The wars, humanitarian crises, and political negotiations are all part of the birth pains leading to the full realization of the Kingdom of Heaven.

It is written in Revelation 21:1–2, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.”

Let the nations and their leaders seek the face of El Elyon in these turbulent times, for only through His divine rule will true peace and justice be established on the earth.

Baruch HaShem (בָּרוּךְ הַשֵׁם), blessed be the Name of Elohim, who reigns forever and ever.
