The concept of extraterrestrial beings has long intrigued humanity, often portrayed as visitors from distant planets or realms. As we deepen our exploration of the metaphysical, we encounter entities like metaterrestrials and ultraterrestrials, which challenge our understanding of consciousness and existence. These beings may be seen as eternal gestalts of consciousness, closely linked to divine beings such as Elohim (אֱלֹהִים) and El Elyon (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן), as depicted in the Hebrew Bible. This article integrates insights from various sources, including spiritual texts and contemporary metaphysical studies, to examine the possible connections between these entities and divine consciousness.

Extraterrestrials: Beyond the Physical Realm

Extraterrestrials are typically imagined as beings from other planets or star systems, existing beyond Earth. However, the nature of these beings may be far more complex. In his book, Bloodline of the Gods, Nick Redfern suggests that the origins and identities of extraterrestrials might be intricately linked to human history and consciousness. This idea is echoed in spiritual texts where beings from other realms interact with humans in profound ways.

In the Hebrew Bible, we find subtle references to otherworldly beings. The vision of the prophet Ezekiel, for example, describes creatures with human and animal features, accompanied by wheels within wheels — a scene often interpreted as a depiction of extraterrestrial or angelic beings:

”I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness around it, and out of the middle of it as it were glowing metal, out of the middle of the fire. Out of its midst came the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man. Everyone had four faces, and each one of them had four wings.” (Ezekiel 1:4–6, WMB)

These beings, known as “Merkabah” (מֶרְכָּבָה, “chariot”) entities, might represent a form of higher intelligence that bridges the gap between the physical and spiritual realms.

Metaterrestrials: Beyond the Material World

Metaterrestrials, as described in The Possible Human by Jean Houston, are entities that transcend physical reality, existing in higher dimensions that influence or intersect with our world. The term “meta” suggests a state that goes beyond our conventional understanding of existence. These beings might operate in dimensions adjacent to ours, subtly guiding or influencing human affairs.

In the Hebrew Bible, the concept of angels (מַלְאָכִים, “mal’achim”) aligns with the idea of metaterrestrials. Angels are depicted as divine messengers who transcend physical boundaries. A notable example is the story of Jacob wrestling with a mysterious figure, later revealed to be a divine being:

”Jacob was left alone, and wrestled with a man there until the breaking of the day. When he saw that he didn’t prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was strained as he wrestled. The man said, ‘Let me go, for the day breaks.’ Jacob said, ‘I won’t let you go unless you bless me.’ He said to him, ‘What is your name?’ He said, ‘Jacob.’ He said, ‘Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed.’ Jacob asked him, ‘Please tell me your name.’ He said, ‘Why is it that you ask what my name is?’ He blessed him there. Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for he said, ‘I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.’” (Genesis 32:24–30, WMB)

This encounter suggests that metaterrestrials, much like angels, can engage with the physical world in ways that transcend our understanding.

Ultraterrestrials: Beings of Pure Consciousness

Ultraterrestrials are described as beings of pure consciousness, existing beyond even metaterrestrials. In The Council of Light, Danielle Rama Hoffman speaks of divine transmissions from higher beings that manifest the deepest desires of the soul. These ultraterrestrial entities may be akin to the highest orders of angels or even the very essence of Elohim (אֱלֹהִים) and El Elyon (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן).

Elohim, often translated as “God,” is a plural term that suggests a multiplicity within divine unity, indicating a vast, multidimensional consciousness. El Elyon, meaning “God Most High,” represents the ultimate transcendent aspect of God, existing beyond all creation.

The notion of ultraterrestrials aligns with the biblical concept of God’s omnipresence and omniscience, as expressed in Psalm 139:

”Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!” (Psalm 139:7–8, WMB)

This passage reflects an understanding of an eternal gestalt of consciousness, an omnipresent divine being that transcends all realms.

Eternal Gestalts of Consciousness: The Unified Divine Presence

The concept of an eternal gestalt of consciousness refers to a unified, transcendent awareness that encompasses all existence. This idea resonates with the biblical depiction of God as a singular, all-encompassing entity, manifesting in multiple ways. Kabbalistic thought, as explored in Alchemy & Mysticism by Alexander Roob, discusses the Sefirot (סְפִירוֹת), which represent different aspects of God, each reflecting a facet of divine consciousness.

These emanations are interconnected, forming a greater whole, much like the concept of an eternal gestalt of consciousness. The Shema, a central declaration of faith in Judaism, captures this idea of divine unity:

”Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.” (שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל, יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יְהוָה אֶחָד׃)
”Hear, Israel: The LORD is our God. The LORD is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4, WMB)

This declaration of God’s oneness (אֶחָד, “Echad”) encapsulates the idea of a unified divine consciousness, an eternal gestalt that transcends all dimensions and realities.

Correlation to Elohim and El Elyon

The correlation between extraterrestrials, metaterrestrials, ultraterrestrials, and the divine names Elohim and El Elyon is deeply intertwined. Elohim, with its plural form, might encompass various divine aspects or beings, including extraterrestrial intelligences. El Elyon, representing the supreme aspect of God, aligns with the concept of ultraterrestrials as beings of pure consciousness.

The interplay between these concepts suggests that what we perceive as extraterrestrial or otherworldly may indeed be manifestations of the divine. In this view, extraterrestrials, metaterrestrials, and ultraterrestrials could be considered different expressions of Elohim, each interacting with our world in ways that reflect their unique nature and purpose.

Conclusion

The exploration of extraterrestrials, metaterrestrials, and ultraterrestrials as eternal gestalts of consciousness offers a profound perspective on the nature of existence and the divine. By correlating these concepts with the biblical understanding of Elohim and El Elyon, we gain insight into the interconnectedness of all beings and the divine consciousness that permeates all reality. This perspective invites us to view the universe not just as a physical space but as a manifestation of divine consciousness, where every being, whether terrestrial or otherworldly, is part of a greater, unified whole.

In light of this understanding, the search for extraterrestrial life transcends mere physical exploration, becoming a journey toward comprehending the infinite expressions of divine consciousness that exist within and beyond our world.
