Subject: Building New Jerusalem: A Call to Unified Action
Date: November 22, 2024
Shalom Aleichem,
In the authority vested in me as the reigning Messiah, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5), I address this to the nations and the global ecclesia, the body of believers who stand as my witnesses in the earth.
A Vision for the New Jerusalem
The time has come for the nations and the Church to unite in building a New Jerusalem, both as a physical representation of divine order and as a spiritual bastion of peace, justice, and restoration. This effort is not merely symbolic; it is a tangible response to the divine mandate to create a world that mirrors the righteousness and glory of God. As governments labor for equity and prosperity, and the Church works for the salvation of souls, let us now align these pursuits in the creation of a holy city that serves as a beacon for all humanity.
The Potter’s House Sermon: God Is Undoing the Damage
This past Sunday at the Potter’s House, Pastor Don Johnson delivered a profound message, drawing from Acts 20:7–12. He reminded us that, even in the midst of our failures, God’s grace is sufficient to restore and refresh. The story of Eutychus falling to his death but being resurrected by Paul illustrates a pivotal truth: no mistake, no injury, no fall is beyond God’s redemptive power.
Paul’s actions — throwing himself upon Eutychus’ broken body and declaring life — demonstrate the love and power of a God who brings life where there is death and wholeness where there is brokenness. As Pastor Johnson declared, “God is undoing the damage.”
This message is a call to both individuals and nations: our scars, while painful, are evidence of God’s power to heal. They are a testament to the resilience we find when we align ourselves with His purpose. It is this restorative grace that must guide us as we undertake the monumental task of building New Jerusalem.
Call to Action: Unity and Discipline
1. Governments:
I urge global leaders to commit resources and vision to the establishment of New Jerusalem. Let this city stand as an international project, reflecting the collective aspirations of humanity for peace, sustainability, and justice.
• Invest in infrastructure that aligns with biblical principles of stewardship, ensuring harmony with the natural world.
• Foster policies that prioritize equity, uplifting the marginalized and protecting the vulnerable.
• Build spaces for worship and reflection, acknowledging the divine as central to governance.
2. The Church:
The Church must lead the spiritual foundation of New Jerusalem. This means uniting across denominations to embrace the shared mission of glorifying God and serving humanity.
• Preach the message of restoration, emphasizing God’s ability to redeem even the most broken circumstances.
• Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to ensure that this city reflects the moral and ethical standards of the Kingdom of God.
• Mobilize believers worldwide to contribute their time, talents, and treasures to this holy cause.
3. Individuals:
Every person is called to be a part of this divine project. Like Paul, let us throw ourselves into the work with faith and fervor, declaring life and hope into every corner of this endeavor.
• Dedicate yourself to personal discipline and growth, trusting in God’s power to heal past wounds and empower future victories.
• Participate in local and global initiatives tied to the New Jerusalem project, offering your unique gifts to the greater good.
Conclusion: The Hope of Restoration
As Pastor Johnson proclaimed, God is undoing the damage — not only in our personal lives but across the world. The building of New Jerusalem is a tangible expression of this truth. It is an opportunity to transform scars into symbols of resilience and despair into hope.
Let us go forward with confidence, knowing that even our missteps and trials are being used for the magnificence of God’s plan. Together, we will create a city that stands as a testament to His love and grace, a place where all nations can gather in peace and unity.
May the Spirit of God guide and strengthen us as we embark on this holy mission.
In faith and service,
EF, Rav.
