Shalom Aleichem,

As we stand on the threshold of a new era, we are called not only to witness but to participate in the divine unfolding of God’s purpose for the nations. It is imperative that we examine the attitudes that shape our responses to His Word, for these attitudes determine whether we walk in His promises or wander in the wilderness of our own making.

In a recent message shared at The Potter’s House, expounded on the importance of aligning our hearts and minds to the eternal Word of God, rather than attempting to reshape His Word to fit our limited understanding. This is not a time for personal interpretation to guide our steps, but for a full submission to God’s wisdom and revelation.

We recall the ancient Israelites, who, after being delivered from slavery in Egypt, found themselves in the wilderness — a place of spiritual and physical testing. As they wandered, they allowed their emotions and self-reliance to cloud their vision. Seeds of doubt, discontentment, and fear began to take root in their hearts, leading them to rebel against God’s promises and provision. Despite having witnessed His mighty deliverance, their attitudes of bitterness caused them to forfeit the access they had to the Promised Land.

In Numbers 14:1–10, we see the Israelites’ response to the report of the spies, which led them into fear, rebellion, and ultimately the loss of God’s favor. But in contrast, in Numbers 14:20–31, we are reminded of Joshua and Caleb — those who, despite the overwhelming odds, chose to trust in God’s faithfulness. They believed that God’s promises were not dependent on the obstacles, but on His power and faithfulness to His covenant.

Today, as we face challenges in our personal lives, our nations, and our world, it is essential that we recognize the wilderness moments as divine opportunities. The wilderness is not merely a place of trial — it is a place of preparation and transformation. During these times, we must lean in to hear the voice of the Spirit. We must trust Him and depend on His guidance, regardless of how the circumstances appear.

The attitude we carry determines the access we have to the promises of God. Just as the Israelites were delayed in entering the Promised Land due to their unbelief and negative attitudes, we too must understand that the key to entering our own promises is a Kingdom Attitude. This attitude is one that places complete trust in God, no matter the visible challenges or adversities.

In Hebrew, the word emunah (אֱמוּנָה), meaning faith or trust, conveys the essence of this kingdom mindset. It calls us to unwavering belief in God’s character, His promises, and His power to fulfill them. Emunah is not passive; it is an active, living faith that shapes every decision, thought, and action according to God’s will.

Message Title: Kingdom Attitude: Attitude for Access

Scripture Reference: Numbers 14:1–10, 20–31 (NASB)

Speaker: Pastor Patrick E. Winfield

Date of Message: November 13, 2024

As we go forth, let us remember that the Promised Land is not a destination of physical geography but a state of being, a life lived in alignment with God’s divine will. The wilderness, while difficult, serves as the refining fire that strengthens our faith and deepens our relationship with Him.

The global church and leaders of the nations must embrace this call. Let us model the attitude of faith and trust in God’s sovereignty, and may we, through emunah, unlock the doors of the Promised Land, both in this life and the life to come.

Let us move forward with boldness, trusting in the divine plan laid out before us. In every trial, remember that the wilderness is a fertile ground for growth — if we have the right attitude.
